Abbas Yazdi

As the driving force behind a number of companies in the UK, UAE and Australia, Mr Yazdi brings his business experience and insight to Corebridge. His 20:20 vision in identifying opportunities and managing businesses to commercial success has made him a prolific entrepreneur and led him to many successful ventures in the oil, gas, information technology and construction industries. Mr Yazdi has experience of dealing with the highest governmental tiers in various regions and has the support of investment and merchant banks and international financial institutions. He also has formal qualifications in Telecommunications Engineering.

Michael Ming-Yih Wu

Mr Wu has been active in international business for the past seventeen years. Prior to founding 3V SourceOne, he was General Partner at iGlobe Partners, a technology venture capital firm. From 1996 to 1999, Mr Wu was Executive Director and Associate Director at UOB Venture Management Pte Ltd (Singapore) where he led U.S. and China hi-tech investments. In 1998, he established the UOB Venture Technology Fund and from 1995 to 1996, Mr Wu served as Senior Vice President at H&Q Asia Pacific and was responsible for its China portfolio. He has an MBA degree from the University of Chicago.

Darioush Alam

Mr Alam holds a BA degree in Modern Political History. A member of the Institute of Bankers, he began his career with Hambros, the largest merchant bank in the UK at the time. He served in its Merger and Acquisitions division in the City of London until 1971 and worked for a further year in asset management at Rowe & Pittman Investment Managers before being appointed to the Presidency of the Tehran Stock Exchange in 1972. There he wrote the Exchange’s first set of governing rules and regulations. In early 1974 he founded Iran Financial Services with forty per cent participation from Merrill Lynch.
In 1979 Mr Alam moved to Geneva as Merrill Lynch’s Vice President of International Asset Management. He has established and successfully served as the President of a number of trust services, offshore structuring and tax planning companies. In his last corporate role he served as the Vice President of Private Banking at Merrill Lynch. In 2004 Mr Alam founded a consultancy providing corporate finance, banking, asset management and private equity services to companies, trusts and high net worth individuals.

Neil Orvay

Neil Orvay has had a career at the forefront of global investment banking for over thirteen years having worked in London, Sydney, Singapore and Hong Kong.
Prior to joining Corebridge, Mr Orvay was Director and Head of Structured Markets, NE Asia for HVB (Germany's second largest bank). There he specialised in structured capital market transactions such as balance sheet structuring, securitisation, tax arbitrage, credit derivatives and debt repackaging.
He holds a BSc (Hons) degree in accountancy and financial analysis from the London School of Economics.
